At Curious Roots, we believe that a safe and developmentally appropriate environment starts with clear, family-friendly enrollment guidelines. To ensure that every child has a positive and successful start, we follow a few standard preschool readiness requirements:

🌱 Age Requirements
Our programs are designed for children ages 3-5 yrs old. Children must meet the age requirement for their specific class by September 1st of the school year. We offer classes tailored for 3-year-olds (Sproutlings), 4/5 year-olds (Bloomers), and a full-day Kinder-Roots program for those preparing to enter kindergarten.

🚽 Potty Training
Children enrolling in our programs are expected to be fully potty trained. We understand that accidents can happen and will always treat them with patience and care, but we are not equipped for routine diapering.

💉 Immunizations
In accordance with state health guidelines, children must be up to date on all required immunizations before beginning school. A current immunization record must be submitted with enrollment. Medical or religious exemptions may be submitted with proper documentation, in compliance with Idaho law.

🍎 Lunches
Kinder-roots program students will bring their own lunch each day. This approach allows us to keep tuition costs lower by eliminating the need for a full-time lunch staff and gives families the flexibility to provide meals that meet their child’s individual preferences and dietary needs. Snacks will be provided by Curious Roots for all programs.

📄 Additional Paperwork
Prior to the first day of school, we require a completed enrollment packet, emergency contact form, and a copy of your child’s birth certificate. A recent health check or physical exam is also recommended to ensure your child is ready for the school year.
